Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially declared the head coaching position for the Super Eagles vacant, following the departure of former handler Jose Peseiro at the end of last month.
Contrary to speculations about ongoing negotiations, the NFF’s latest decision signals a clear vacancy for interested coaches, both domestic and international. Applications for the coveted position are now open, as the soccer house seeks to fill the crucial role.
Under Peseiro’s guidance, the Super Eagles secured an impressive second position at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite this achievement, the NFF has opted to explore new leadership for the national team. Interested candidates are expected to submit their applications to the NFF in the coming weeks.
