The Federal Government has unveiled four locally manufactured drugs through the Nigerian National Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNNMDA), as announced by the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Uche Nnaji.

These drugs include Namdune (200mg) designed for anti-aging, Namdasan (200mg) for anti-sickling, Aberecin (200mg) for anti-diabetes, and Nanobere (50kg).
Commending the agency for its efforts in producing these drugs, the minister also disclosed the government’s intentions to establish funding for research and development.
Martins Emeje, the director of the agency, expressed gratitude for the government’s plan to establish a research and development fund. He urged the government to ensure the effective implementation of proposals to facilitate researchers’ access to the fund.
