Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu has taken legal action against Asue Ighodalo and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) regarding the outcome of the recently concluded governorship primary election.
The lawsuit also includes the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Following the PDP’s announcement of Ighodalo as the preferred candidate, endorsed by Governor Godwin Obaseki, Shaibu contested the decision.
Despite being declared the winner of a parallel governorship poll held at his residence, Shaibu disputed Ighodalo’s victory.
