Julius Abure has secured a second term as the National Chairman of the Labour Party, with delegates unanimously affirming his reelection.
Abure’s victory was achieved despite opposition from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
During the party’s national convention held in Nnewi, Anambra State, on Wednesday, Abure was declared the winner by Ikechukwu Emetu, the Chairman of the National Convention and Deputy Governor of Abia State.

This reelection follows a period of contention between Abure and the leadership of the NLC, headed by Joe Ajaero, as reported by Parallel Facts.
