Pastor Femi Timothy of Christ Kingdom Church in Ilorin has cautioned Nigerian youths against squandering their earnings on gambling.
Speaking during an interview in Ilorin, Pastor Timothy stressed the importance of youths recognizing their responsibilities as future leaders and preparing themselves accordingly.
He expressed concern over the increasing trend of youth addiction to gambling, driven by the desire for fast cash.
Pastor Timothy encouraged young people to prioritize their academic pursuits, stressing the significance of acquiring leadership qualities essential for personal growth and societal contribution.
He urged them to channel their energy towards constructive endeavors rather than seeking quick fixes through gambling.

The cleric said, “Youths must learn to face their studies and work rather than investing in gambling, which is evil and can ruin their future. They should stop wasting their little hard-earned money on gambling.
“The youth should know that gambling will take everything away from them and leave them with nothing and should, therefore, run away from it.”
He added, “Rather, they should plan their lives and put their trust in God.”
Mr. Timothy implored them to exhibit discipline and refrain from succumbing to the allure of fast cash.
