American gymnastics star Simone Biles has become the most decorated gymnast in history.
The 26-year-old gymnast accomplished this feat at the 2023 World Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp, Belgium, where she performed numerous breathtaking routines throughout the match, including the record-breaking Yurchenko double pike vault on Monday.
Biles was the first woman to successfully complete this challenging exercise, and as a result, the routine was named after her.
After winning her sixth all-around gold on Friday, the Olympian increased her record as the highest all-around title holder.

For her performances on the balance beam, floor, vault, and uneven bars, she earned a total of 58.399 points.
Notably, Biles won her first all-around championship in the same city eleven years prior, when she was just 16 years old.
The Texas native is the most decorated gymnast in the world in both the male and female categories, having won 27 World Championship medals in addition to seven Olympic medals. She had previously been tied with Vitaly Scherbo, her Belarusian counterpart, for the most medals with 33.
On Wednesday, the US team won the championships for the seventh year in a row while successfully defending their crown.
“Actually, I had something in my eye today that I couldn’t get out; I swear it’s true. But I was emotional because 10 years ago I won my first world, and now we’re back here,” she said after her win.
