The Nigerian U15 boys’ Future Eagles have faced a setback as the Spanish Embassy denied them visas for their planned participation in the UEFA U16 Development Tournament.
This information was revealed in an official statement released by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) through its official channels on Monday.
The NFF stated, “Players and officials of the Nigeria U15 team, Future Eagles, have had their visa applications denied by the Spanish Embassy. As a result, they will not be able to travel for the UEFA U16 Development Tournament scheduled to commence on Friday.”

Initially scheduled to depart on Tuesday for Spain, the Future Eagles were set to compete against strong opponents, including Belgium on Friday, April 12 (8pm), Italy on Sunday, April 14 (8pm), and England on Wednesday, April 17 (1pm).
The delegation representing the Future Eagles is led by Zannah Malah, a prominent member of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, and comprises 20 players.
