According to witnesses, the victim, identified as a tricycle revenue collector from Amudo Village, Awka, fell prey to the assailants’ ruthless attack. He was reportedly trailed from the Ifite area before being mercilessly shot at close range near a busy filling station.
“The situation turned chaotic in an instant,” one eyewitness recounted. “Traders hurriedly shut down their shops, and people fled in fear as gunshots echoed through the air.”
