The National Examination Council is set to release the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) internal results today.
The examination body, via its X account on Monday, said that the results would be released on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
The statement briefly reads, “NECO will release the 2023 SSCE internal result on Tuesday, 10/10/23.”
Earlier last week, it was expected that the results would be released, but the cause of the delay is unknown.
NECO first announced in August that more than 1,200,000 people have registered to take the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 2023.
This was made known in Jos, the capital of Plateau State, by Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, the Registrar/Chief Executive.
Meanwhile, the brief announcement on Monday was a result of a delay in releasing the result.
A principal of a private college school in Ketu/Alapere, who pleaded anonymity, informed parallel Facts that NECO ought to have released the result.
He noted that the delay makes students panic and be scared of the outcome.
However, he believes it’s for the greater good, as he appraises NECO as having been “efficient” in recent times.
He said, “We don’t know why it takes this long to release the results. It should have been released by now, so we can get over it. Our students are panicking and are scared. We believe success is theirs, but let NECO release it today, as they’ve stated (10 September). I believe it’s for the greater good because, truth be told, kudos to them. They have been efficient in recent times. Let’s hope they do as stated, and we pray it’s a good result for our students.”
