In a distressing turn of events, a building collapse in the Kuntau area of Gwale Local Government Area in Kano State has left numerous individuals trapped under debris.
At least eleven persons are trapped under the rubble, mostly workers, according to sources close to the scene.
The cause of the collapse remains unclear, prompting authorities to launch a comprehensive investigation.
Excavation is currently ongoing, with some corpses already recovered, reported officials at the site.
Swift action was taken as emergency response teams from both the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the State Fire Service rushed to the scene to initiate rescue efforts.

Two individuals have been successfully rescued from the wreckage and transported to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment, confirmed rescue personnel.
Amidst the chaos, efforts continue unabated to extricate those still trapped beneath the rubble.
