I am the Most Abused, ‘Mumu Governor’, Because I Don’t Want Any Trouble—Fubara Says Amid Rivers Crisis

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State described himself as the most abused person in the state but emphasized his commitment to remaining calm despite serious provocations.

He called on the people of Rivers State to maintain peace, stating his opposition to trouble and conflict.

Fubara’s comments come amid a rift with his predecessor and the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike. The two have been at odds over the political control and resources of the state.

Despite Bola Tinubu’s attempts to mediate, the conflict persists. Fubara recently declared that his political adversaries had been defeated, claiming that his rivals are now restless and unable to sleep peacefully.

The governor vowed not to let his detractors create political tension in the state.

Fubara revealed that he assured Tinubu that he would choose the path of peace and remain committed to that promise.
