Sean “Diddy” Combs has issued an apology on his Instagram, acknowledging his “inexcusable” conduct captured on CCTV, where he appeared to assault singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura by kicking and pushing her in a hotel hallway.

He took full responsibility for his actions, expressing disgust at his behaviour both then and now.

“I was disgusted when I did it. I’m disgusted now,” he said in his statement.

“I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”

Despite previously denying Cassie Ventura’s assault allegations, which led to a now-resolved federal lawsuit she filed in November, Sean “Diddy” Combs is seen in surveillance footage, compiled from various camera angles dated March 5, 2016.

The incident, according to Ventura’s complaint, occurred at the now-shuttered InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.

In the footage, Ventura exits a hotel room and heads to an elevator bank. Combs, with a towel around his waist, chases after her down the hallway, grabs her by the neck, and forcefully throws her to the ground.

Maintaining his hold on the towel with one hand, he proceeds to kick her while she’s on the floor. Combs then retrieves a purse and suitcase from the ground near the elevators, kicks Ventura again, who remains motionless.

The video indicates a four-second interval between the kicks. He briefly pulls Ventura by her sweatshirt toward a room before departing.
