Former federal lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani has strongly criticized the approval of the new national anthem, arguing that Nigeria’s focus should be on addressing its pressing economic and security challenges.
In a post on his official X handle on Wednesday, Shehu Sani said that amidst Nigeria’s profound economic and security struggles, a controversial decision has sparked Nigeria’s reaction of lack of priority.
He wrote, “Nigeria is facing serious economic and security challenges but it’s prioritising changing its national anthem.
“We have bacterial infection,we opted for Prada fragrance instead of Penicillin.”
