Soldiers are currently surrounding the venue of the meeting between the Organised Labour and the Federal Government.

A source from Labour disclosed this to Vanguard on Monday evening.

The source stated that the military presence is intended to intimidate Organised Labour. However, the Labour leaders remain resolute despite the intimidation.

Vanguard had earlier reported that George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SFG), summoned the leadership of Organised Labour for a meeting.

Although the source did not specify the meeting’s agenda, it is likely related to the minimum wage and the ongoing strike across the country.
