Paul Gowon Haruna, a member of the 10th National Assembly representing the Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency, has donated a traditional well to his constituency.
Haruna, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, initiated this project as part of his constituency efforts.
However, the project has sparked controversy among some residents. They expressed their dissatisfaction, criticizing the initiative for not including more modern features.
One resident shared pictures with SaharaReporters, stating, “This is a project from a House of Representatives member representing Dekina/Bassa Federal constituency. What a shame, not even a mechanized hand pump.”
Another resident said, “It’s glaring these politicians don’t rate us, a federal lawmaker constructing well and celebrating it as achievement.”
