Ekiti ranked first among the 36 states in Nigeria on the 2023 Transparency and Integrity Index released by the Center for Fiscal Transparency and Integrity Watch, collaborating with the MacArthur Foundation.
Ekiti, Kaduna, Ondo, Lagos, and Gombe State occupied the top five positions in terms of transparency indicators, including open procurement, public engagement, fiscal transparency, anti-corruption efforts, and website integrity.
