A social media influencer and blogger, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan( VDM) has been rearrested by the Nigerian police for exposing alleged fraudster.
This incident is coming barely three weeks after VDM was released from police net.
According to the report, the influencer was arrested on the orders of the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Mr Benneth Igwe.
Recall that on Monday, June 10, 2024, a Federal High Court in Abuja had granted bail to the social media influencer.
The blogger was subsequently released from police custody after satisfying his bail condition.

His lawyer, Mr Deji Adeyanju on Sunday disclosed that his client has again been arrested, adding that VeryDarkMan was apprehended for exposing someone who allegedly duped a Nigerian abroad.
In a post on his X account on Sunday, Adeyanju said, “Our client, @thatverydarkman has just been arrested by the police on the instruction of CP Igwe for exposing someone who allegedly duped a Nigerian abroad.
“Instead of the police to arrest the person alleged to have duped someone, they arrested VDM on allegation of defamation,” he added.
Meanwhile, his consistent arrest has stirred unhappy comments by Nigerians and VDM’s fans.
