In a battle of endurance at Bramall Lane, Sheffield United suffered another agonizing result on their return to the Premier League following a 2-1 loss to Manchester United courtesy of Scott McTominay and Diogo Dalot’s goals.
Scott McTominay gave the Red Devils the lead shortly before the half-hour mark in South Yorkshire. But the home side, roared on by a fervent crowd, drew level shortly afterwards when Ollie McBurnie scored from the penalty spot. The Blades fought hard, but Diogo Dalot fought harder on the pitch as he proved himself to be a different maker.
The Blades may have indeed fought hard, but the dominance from the devils on the pitch was uncontrollably incontrollable for the host, leading to a screamer by Diogo Dalot from outside the box to give his side a 2-1 lead.
His goal from the far distance, directly to the right top corner of the goalpost, was walked in by lots of eyeballs as expectations met with hope between the two teams. However, the shot was not saved by the Sheffield goalkeeper, which was enough to steal the win for the Red Devils for the night.
