The government of Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu allocated a staggering N25 million towards the Juma’at prayers during the 2023 Presidential Inauguration.
According to records from govspend, a database that tracks government spending and procurement activities, the payment was designated for activities related to the Juma’at prayers and the conference sub-committee of the inauguration.
The expenditure, listed under the description read, “Being payment to the project accountant in respect of the activities of Juma’at prayers and conference sub-committee of 2023 presidential inauguration.”
