NBC Kicks Off AFRICAST 2023 in Lagos Today

Today marks the beginning of the 2023 edition of AFRICAST, the biennial International Conference of Africa Broadcasters, presented by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).

Africast 2023, which is being hosted by NBC and coordinated by Broadcast Media Africa (BMA), is expected to feature cutting-edge technology, stimulating conversations, and networking opportunities for creativity.

The event is scheduled to take place in Lagos, Nigeria, on October 24–26, 2023. ‘Broadcast Content: Synergy, Finance, and Market’ is the conference theme this year, and it promises to present previously unheard-of technological opportunities for the best broadcast profession in Africa.

The goal of AFRICAST 2023 is to lead the broadcast ecosystem’s adoption of the newest technological developments and trends. The conference offers a forum for assessments and analyses of Africa’s broadcast viewpoint in light of global best practices and guidelines.

This year’s event will be held in Lagos, according to NBC Director General Balarabe Shehu Ilelah, because the state not only serves as the centre of broadcasting activity in Nigeria but also offers a lively environment for discussing and pursuing global best practices in the broadcasting industry.

Moreover, broadcasters, media experts, and content creators from radio, TV, and film will come together at AFRICAST 2023 to discuss the newest developments and prospects.
