Israeli Military Strikes Over 400 Militant Sites in Gaza

The Israeli military claimed that during the course of the night, it had struck over 400 militant sites in Gaza, killing dozens of Hamas fighters, three of whom were deputy battalion commanders.

A tunnel that Hamas used to enter Israel from the sea and Hamas command centres located in mosques were among the targets that were struck.

Despite the fact that the number of Palestinian deaths has not decreased, Israel has stepped up its attacks on Gaza, focusing on Hamas fighters in an effort to destroy the organization.

Over 5,000 people have died in Gaza as a result of Israeli airstrikes in the last two weeks, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

This is in retaliation for an attack by the Islamist militant group Hamas that claimed the lives of over 1,400 people in a single day, the majority of whom were civilians.

Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, the Israeli Chief of Staff, implied that Israel had no plans to stop its strikes. Halevi declared in a statement, “We want to bring Hamas to a state of full dismantling.”

Over a million Gazans are now forced to seek refuge outside of the area due to the extensive destruction caused by the strikes.

The United Nations and relief organisations have issued dire warnings of a humanitarian crisis and begged for supplies to be allowed in because food, clean water, medicine, and gasoline are rapidly running out.

After two weeks of relentless Israeli attacks on Gaza, there is a serious humanitarian crisis that has resulted from this escalation. Israel has been pushed by the international community to permit additional supplies to enter Gaza.
