The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has charged Tinubu’s Special Adviser On Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga to channel his energy and focus on alleviating the sufferings of Nigerians rather than accusing him falsely.
Obi’s comment is coming following the accusation, Onanuga laid on him about having a hand in the forthcoming nationwide protest in Nigeria.
Onanuga also painted Obi as a failed presidential candidate, stressing that he should be held responsible for whatever crisis that would emanate from the action.
However, Obi said his attackers should use the energy against him to focus on making Nigeria a great place.
In a post on his X handle on Sunday, Obi wrote, “To those who have chosen to spread falsehoods and lies about me for their own gain or at the bidding of their paymasters, I am equally grateful to you.

“I urge you to channel your energy and resources towards helping everyday Nigerians who are struggling to find their next meal, secure education for their children, gain employment, and access adequate healthcare.
“The future of our nation depends on addressing these urgent needs, not on perpetuating deceit and lies.”
Obi emphasized that his political journey is one borne out of sincere love and care for the people and void of personal gain.
He encouraged those fighting against him to pay attention to the cries of the poor and people who can’t afford the next meal.
“My political journey has never been about desperation or personal gain. It is rooted in principles and a genuine care for the people.
“Rather than fabricating lies, you and your paymasters should listen to the cries of the poor, who cannot afford medicine and who are uncertain about their next meal.
“Pay attention to the voices of reason from individuals and institutions that emphasize the plight of our citizens. Let us unite in building a nation where everyone can thrive.
Obi further added that he held no grudges against the people speaking evil of him rather he prayed for them.
“To those who spread falsehoods, I hold no malice. Instead, I pray for the blessings of God upon you and your families. May we all work together for the prosperous new Nigeria that is now a clear POssibility,” he said.
