The organisers of the planned #EndBadGovernance protest, scheduled for August, have rejected a proposal by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, for a confined protest.
During a meeting on Tuesday, the IGP suggested that the protest be held in designated locations and advised against street rallies.
However, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, a lawyer representing the Take It Back Movement, one of the groups organising the protest, turned down the proposal.
Further updates are expected as the situation develops.
