Reports have emerged alleging that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, in collaboration with the Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Bennett Igwe, has plotted to incite violence against peaceful protesters.
The accusations were brought to light by a source who stated that Wike and Igwe met late at night and devised a plan to disrupt the ongoing protests.
According to the source, Wike expressed frustration over the continued presence of protesters in Abuja despite his efforts to quell the demonstrations.
The source alleged that Wike instructed the Police Commissioner to “be on the street today to cause mayhem” and make the protest appear as a riot.

“Wike had a meeting in the night with my boss the CP of FCT, and told him to stop the protest. He is angry that after all he did the protesters still came to Abuja in their numbers.
“He told the CP to be on the street today to cause mayhem. You people should not relent, continue in the fight for all of us; we are with you.
“The CP has told us to be aggressive so that they can tag the protest as riot. That is what they want to do today.,” the source stated.
The source further accused Igwe of being complicit in the alleged scheme, accusing him of allowing himself to be used against his own people and other protesters. They also claimed that Wike had sent new armoury for use against the protesters.
“Call out the CP of FCT, Benneth Igwe, and let him leave the protesters alone,” the source urged, branding him an “evil man” working with Wike against the Nigerian people.
The source also claimed that Igwe was involved in the arrest of protesters and a journalist, which was reportedly denied by the police.
Additionally, the source alleged that Wike had a plot to frame Senator Ireti Kingibe.
“Wike has already plotted something on Senetor Ireti. They want to go to Maraba, where some touts fought over money with cutlass and say it was Ireti that sponsored them to attack protesters. The CP, Bennett Igwe, is helping him to achieve this.
“Spread this information so that Wike can leave Ireti alone,” the source implored, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation and urging the public to remain vigilant and continue their protest.
