As the nationwide #EndBadGovernanceProtest entered its fifth day, reports emerged from Lagos reveals that local residents were offered substantial financial incentives to deter them from participating in the demonstrations.
In a video clip posted on X, a protester from Ojota revealed that each street in her local government, ₦500,000 was given to dissuade people from joining the protest.
The claim underscores growing tensions as the public continues to express dissatisfaction with the government’s handling of issues such as corruption and mismanagement.
The financial offers reportedly came amidst widespread unrest and public outcry over systemic failures.
