Nigerians Knock Tinubu For Approving Policy Restricting Medical Experts From Working Outside Nigeria

Despite stiff resistance by health workers, Bola Tinubu has approved the National Policy on Health Workforce Migration to stop the migration of medical personnel from Nigeria to other countries otherwise known as japa syndrome.

The approval was disclosed by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof Muhammad Pate, via his X handle.

According to him, the policy will not only stop the ongoing mass exodus of healthcare professionals but also serve as a comprehensive strategy to manage, harness, and reverse health worker migration.
