VIDEO: Peter Obi Visits P Square After Split Rumour, Face Off

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has visited the Okoye brothers, Jude Engees Okoye and Paul Rudeboy Okoye of P Square, following a recent rumour suggesting that the two popular music artists have split again.

In a viral video, Peter Obi was spotted being accompanied by the two warring but smiling parties, suggesting a resolution was reached.

More than two years after their highly-publicized reunion, Nigerian singing twin sensation Peter and Paul Okoye, popularly known as P-Square, separated again.

Popular singer and half of PSquare, Paul Nonso Okoye, aka Rudeboy, confirmed the latest separation with his twin brother, Peter Okoye, aka Mr. P, during a recent interview with a popular FM station.

The twin brothers, who launched their musical career in 1999 and reigned over the African music scene for more than a decade, first went their separate ways in 2016.

After a four-year rift filled with public controversies that distanced them from colleagues and fans alike, the brothers reconciled in 2021.

During their time apart, Paul, also known as Rudeboy, released tracks such as “Fire Fire” and “Nkenji Keke,” while Peter, who goes by Mr P, dropped songs like “For My Head” and “Cool It Down.”

The 42-year-old artist revealed that their issues began in 2014, following the release of the track “Ejeajo,” which featured T.I., the renowned American rapper and multiple Grammy Award winner, whose real name is Clifford Harris.

At the time this report was filed, no details had been released about the discussions during the meeting.

However, it is highly likely that the presidential candidate’s visit was aimed at resolving the conflict.
