Pate noted that Tinubu has launched multiple initiatives and invested heavily in healthcare infrastructure, including the construction of 10 major oncology and diagnostic centers, which are set to be completed within the next 12 months.

He added, “He has launched many initiatives and building on what Medserve has done. We are seeing 10 major infrastructural projects with the groundbreaking that is happening.

“There are 6,000 centres that Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority(NSIA) is doing, and I think the money is available, and those too would be completed within 12 to 18 months; they will be opened.”

The minister also mentioned the ongoing retraining program for 120,000 frontline health workers, with 10,000 having already undergone retraining, including those in Bauchi.

Tolulope Adewole, Managing Director of Medserve, shared that since 2020, Medserve has served 131,000 patients at the NSIA Kano diagnostic center, conducting nearly 700,000 individual tests. He added that new diagnostic centers are planned for Umuahia and Abia.

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, in his address, announced plans to invest N25 billion in the state specialist hospital to enhance medical services, complementing the efforts at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital.
