An Armed Robber is An Armed Robber; PDP Governors Love Tinubu at Night — Wike Opens Up

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has accused some governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of double-dealing in their relationship with chief Bola Tinubu.

Speaking at the PDP’s Secretariat in Port Harcourt during the party’s state congress on Saturday, Wike criticized these governors for allegedly expressing support for Tinubu privately while publicly taking opposing stances.

Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, also explained his decision to oppose the PDP during the last presidential election, citing the party’s failure to uphold justice, fairness, and equity as his reasons.

Wike stated, “I didn’t hide it in 2023 when I said PDP I would not support you for presidential election, I said I won’t support PDP because it refused to allow equity, fairness, and justice. So, I have no regrets.

“When Buhari was there, you never saw me play two sides; I never went to the Villa at night only to come out in the day to shout.

“Some of them now love the president at night, but during the day, they say different things.

“Be a man of character, stand so that people will know that this is who you are. I hear some people saying we are supporting somebody else, why won’t we support him?

“We defeated your own candidates, tell us who was your candidate in 2023? They all lost, they are not ashamed that what they didn’t plant, they want to harvest. An armed robber is an armed robber any day, any time,” he added.
