Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has reacted to the ongoing internal wrangling in Rivers, saying “every politician has his own interests”.
Wike stated this while addressing the press on Tuesday shortly after the governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) met in Abuja.
This is coming on the heels of the alleged fight between the FCT Minister and his protege cum incumbent governor of Rivers, Sir Similanayi Fubara, who is currently facing impeachment threat at the State House of Assembly.
According to him, the main opposition party has taken over the matter.

“In politics, there are lot of internal wrangling. But you’re not going to say that because there are lots of internal wrangling, they’re not going to settle among themselves.
“I was the instrument. I had every power then to say where things should go. When things are wrong, you ask questions. It’s a party affair.
“Parties know how they resolve their own mechanism. It’s not an ethnic affair. Our party is looking into it. That’s what I’ll say. Every politician has his own interests,” he said.
