The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kogi State Command, is set to deploy 3,000 personnel to ensure security for the upcoming governorship election scheduled for November 11.
This announcement was made by the State Commandant, Ahmad Gandi, during a press briefing in Lokoja on Wednesday.
He said, “The Command has concluded plans to give adequate coverage, and no stone will be left unturned to ensure that the election is hitch-free.”

Gandi stated that since assuming his duties in the state, he has successfully prosecuted 24 cases with a conviction rate exceeding 90 percent.
