The Ekiti State Amotekun Corps has apprehended a 32-year-old man for defiling a minor in the state.
The Ekiti State Amotekun Corps in a press release signed by its Head of Communication Department, Officer Adeleye Abiodun Adewale and made available to Journalists in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, said Operatives of the Amotekun Corps in Ifedara Local Council, arrested the man, Yakubu Maji who lives at Are-Ekiti and hails from Kogi State on Monday, the 15th of September, 2024.
The young girl, who is a native of Okene but now resides in Are-Ekiti, was defiled, according to the Command’s Media Head, who described the incident.
The woman claims that the suspect sexually assaulted her while she was running errands for her mother.
The victim further stated that the event took place in the suspect’s room following his enticement of her with N300 in cash.
The youngster reportedly disclosed that the guy had threatened to use a cutlass on her if she told anyone about what had transpired.

Nonetheless, the mother of the victim acknowledged that the perpetrator had raped her 10-year-old daughter twice.
For additional investigation, the suspect has been turned over to the Ekiti State Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in Ado-Ekiti.
