Despite the worsening economy, the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, has been praised for her acts of generosity after providing financial aid and materials to various groups in the state.
This was made known in a press release issued by her Chief Press Secretary, Joseph Ugochukwu Onwe, titled, “DEPUTY GOVERNOR, PRINCESS PATRICIA ONYEMAECHI OBILA, EXTENDS KINDNESS TO CHURCH, FARMERS, OKADA RIDERS, AND PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED INDIVIDUAL.”
According to a video accompanying the press release that was shared on Facebook, Parallel Facts discovered that the Deputy Governor was seen in the video distributing N1000 notes to Okada riders and people with disabilities in the state.
Princess Obila reportedly donated a substantial sum to support the ongoing construction of Christ Ascension Church, located in Area 2, Mgbabor, Abakaliki. She also provided bags of fertilizer to farmers, helping to improve their agricultural productivity.
The press release read, “In her characteristic spirit of generosity and compassion, the Ebonyi State Deputy Governor, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, has made significant donations to support various causes in the state.
“The Deputy Governor donated a substantial amount of money towards the ongoing construction of Christ Ascension Church building, Area 2, Mgbabor, Abakaliki.
“In addition, Princess Obila provided bags of fertilizers to farmers, empowering them to enhance their agricultural productivity.
“The Deputy Governor also extended financial support to Okada riders and a physically challenged person, demonstrating her commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable citizens.
“The beneficiaries have hailed Princess Obila as “Mother Theresa of our time” in recognition of her selfless and philanthropic endeavours.
“I am humbled to contribute to the well-being of our citizens and the development of our state in fulfilment of the People’s Charter of Needs mantra of my boss and Governor of our dear State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru. May God bless and prosper our people,” the release concluded.
