Bobrisky Only Sought Financial Aid for VIP Section in Prison — Falz to VeryDarkMan

Famous Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has clarified that Bobrisky only contacted him for financial assistance during his time in prison.

Bobrisky was jailed for three months after pleading guilty to naira mutilation following his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He was released on August 5, 2024.

On September 24, 2024, social critic and activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, leaked an audio recording allegedly of Bobrisky.

In the recording, Bobrisky claimed that Falz and his father, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), helped drop money laundering charges against him while he was in prison.

In response to the controversy, Falz, through his legal representatives at Falana & Falana’s Chambers, denied any involvement in Bobrisky’s legal proceedings.

He stated that the crossdresser only reached out to request financial assistance of N3 million to secure a VIP section in prison.

Falz also criticized VeryDarkMan for publishing what he described as a careless and unverified statement without contacting him first.
