Dr. Doyin Okupe, a former presidential spokesperson, has praised Kashim Shettima as one of the most brilliant and articulate politicians from the North.
Okupe shared this view in a post on his X handle on Thursday, noting that he had taken a closer look at Shettima’s personality.
“From the time of GEJ Administration, I have not been someone you can call a friend of the VP Alh Shetima.
“But since he became the VP, I have had to take a closer look at his personae. This gentleman is probably one of the most brilliant, lucid and articulate politicians from the North,” he posted on X.

Recall that Okupe previously served as the Director-General of the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign Council.
However, in January of this year, he left the party, citing ideological differences following the 2023 election as the reason for his departure.
