Cabinet Reshuffling: Power Minister Adelabu Must Be Removed — VeryDarkMan Insists Band A, B, and C Categorization Makes No Sense

As Chief Bola Tinubu prepares for a cabinet reshuffle, social critic Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has called for the removal of the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.

In a video shared on his Facebook page on Friday, VDM urged Tinubu to retain performing ministers but stated that the Minister of Power should be replaced due to the handling of electricity distribution.

VDM criticized the current system of categorizing power supply into Band A, Band B, and Band C, which he said unfairly prioritizes some Nigerians over others.

VeryDarkMan questioned why certain areas enjoy 20 hours of electricity daily while others receive significantly less, implying that poorer regions are disadvantaged.

His words, “If at all any minister must be removed or reshuffled, it should be the Minister of Power. They need to remove that guy.

“My reason is this, the segregation surrounding the Band A, Band B and Band C issues makes no sense. What is the reason for that segregation? Are you trying to say that poor people do not have access to light?

“Is it that the poor people are not supposed to use light for 24 hours? It makes no sense because we are all Nigerians,” he added.

His comments come after Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser toTinubu on Information and Strategy, announced that a reshuffling of the cabinet was imminent, with some ministers potentially facing removal or reassignment.
