Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged Nigerians to love their country, warning that those who harbor hatred for Nigeria may find it difficult to progress in life.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, Igbokwe made the statement while commemorating Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day anniversary.
He encouraged citizens to view the country positively, stating, “Believe that you have a beautiful country in your hands. Love Nigeria and Nigeria will love you back. Celebrate Nigeria and Nigeria will celebrate you.”
“Honour Nigeria so that Nigeria will honour you. If you hate your country you may not progress here. Nigeria will favour you the way it favoured me.”

He further described Nigeria as the most endowed nation in Africa, highlighting its large population, educational achievements, talents, favorable weather, fertile land, and beautiful landscapes.
He added that the “most populated, most educated, most talented, most blessed with good weather, fertile land full of beautiful landscape.”
