The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor E.A Adeboye in a video making rounds online has tendered an public apology to all and sundry following his statement about paying tithe.
Recall that on July 2-24, pastor Adeboye in a video that circulated social media declared that anyone who is not paying tithe will not go to heaven.
In his words; “Anyone who is not paying his tithe is not going to heaven, full stop. I’m going to give every one of you pastors, an opportunity to repent tonight.”
However, in a new clip trending online, pastor Adeboye while preaching in front of his congregations tendered a note of apology for making such statement.
He admitted that he was sorry as what he said was wrong and not in the bible.
Adeboye,”I apologize for saying ‘If you don’t pay tithe, you won’t make it to heaven.’ I’m sorry, that’s wrong, and it’s not in the Bible. What the Bible says is ‘Follow peace with all men, and holiness,without which no man shall see God.”
