Shame on Them; We Will Fight Until Battle is Won — Netanyahu Condemns Macron for Urging Arms Embargo on Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned French President Emmanuel Macron’s recent call for an arms embargo on Israel, labeling it a “disgrace.”

In a statement directed at Macron, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel is currently engaged in self-defense across multiple fronts, including Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, and Iran.

Netanyahu argued that as Israel confronts what he described as “the forces of barbarism led by Iran,” it is imperative for civilized nations to support Israel.

His words, “Today, Israel is defending itself on seven fronts against the enemies of civilization,” he says, pointing at Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Iran.

“As Israel fights the forces of barbarism led by Iran, all civilized countries should be standing firmly by Israel’s side,” Netanyahu insists.

“Yet President Macron and other Western leaders are now calling for arms embargoes against Israel,” he continues.

“Shame on them.”

The prime minister asks rhetorically whether Iran is imposing an arms embargo on its proxies.

“Of course not,” he responds. “This axis of terror stands together.”

“But countries who supposedly oppose this terror axis call for an arms embargo on Israel,” Netanyahu continues. “What a disgrace!”

Netanyahu promises that Israel will win “with or without their support.”

“But their shame will continue long after the war is won.”

“Rest assured, Israel will fight until the battle is won — for our sake and for the sake of peace and security in the world,” he added.
