As Nigerians await the arrival of Bola Tinubu, Kashim Shettima departs Abuja for Sweden on a two-day visit to the Scandinavian nation
Shettima’s trip comes amid heightened political activities, economic hardship and discussions surrounding key national issues, raising questions about the timing and significance of his visit while Tinubu is still en route.
A statement by the Senior Special Assistant Bola Tinubu on Media & Communications Stanley Nkwocha on Wednesday, said Shettima’s visit is at the instance of Bola Tinubu.
During the working visit, will engage in high-level bilateral talks with key government officials, including a meeting with Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and the Swedish Prime Minister.

However, he is expected use the visit to explore opportunities for strengthened collaboration between Nigeria and Sweden in areas such as ICT, innovation, education, digitalisation, sustainable transport, mining, and agriculture.
