Peter Obi Donates Additional N5million to Almajiri School in Kaduna

Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, visited Kawo Almajiri School to follow up on the impact of his earlier donation to the institution.

Four months ago, Mr Obi made a notable contribution of 10 million naira to support the school’s educational initiatives, and during this visit, he added an additional donation of 5 million naira to aid the school further.

According to a tweet by Ibrahim H. Abdulkarim, “Obi expressed his delight upon seeing the remarkable progress made with the donation.

“The school has successfully utilized the funds to install two boreholes, build modern toilet facilities, and reconstruct classroom spaces, significantly enhancing the learning environment for the students.”

In recognition of the school’s progress, Peter Obi generously pledged another 5 million naira to further improve the facilities. His parting words delivered a powerful message: “No child should be denied proper education.”

This visit was particularly significant, as Mr. Obi traveled from Abuja after a condolence visit to former Governor Senator Ahmed Makarfi, who tragically lost his first child, Faisal, in a car accident along the Kaduna-Zaria Road.

Abdulkarim added that they deeply appreciate Mr. Obi for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit Kawo Almajiri School. “Together, we can continue to strive for better education for our children, irrespective of tribe, region, or religion,” he said.
