Serie A: Gasperini Reveals Reason for Lookman’s Early Exit Against Venezia

Atalanta manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, has explained why Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman was substituted early during their match against Venezia.

Lookman, who struggled to make an impact, was replaced by Colombian international Juan Cuadrado after the break.

Gasperini stated that the decision was influenced by signs of tiredness shown by the player.

Gasperini told the media in his post-match comments, stating, “He was probably tired too, then there are the games and the needs of the teams. It already happened to us with Como, we would have risked doing the same with Venezia today.”
