Naira Marley, Sam Larry Granted Bail Over Mohbad’s Case

A Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos State, has granted bail to popular singer Azeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry.

The bail amount set by the court is a substantial N20 million, accompanied by three responsible sureties.

The legal proceedings in question were initiated following the arraignment and subsequent remand of Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and two others on October 6.

The charges against them were related to their alleged involvement in the circumstances surrounding the tragic passing of musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad.

According to PUNCH, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun, presiding over the case, issued the bail order, requiring the defendants to provide their passports as part of the bail conditions. Furthermore, the magistrate stipulated that Naira Marley and Sam Larry must report weekly to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.

“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their  passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department,” Olatunbosun ruled.

She also warned that no one should contact her directly on the case.

“Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings,” she added.
