Sunday Dare, Special Adviser on Public Communications and Orientation to Bola Tinubu, emphasized that the President deserves commendation for removing the fuel subsidy.
Speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television, Dare urged the public to remain patient with the administration’s ongoing reforms.
He noted Tinubu is working diligently to address key challenges and fulfill his commitments to the nation.
“Tinubu is adept at governance. [He is] a man who burns the midnight oil when other men of easy virtue are carousing around.
“This is a man I worked with for seven years and we sleep at 4, 5, 6 in the morning,” the former minister of sports and youth development said.
He described the Tinubu administration’s removal of fuel subsidies and other reforms as bold and daring decisions. According to him, Tinubu chose an unconventional path by implementing these policies.

Despite the hardships these measures have caused, Dare noted that Tinubu’s actions are aimed at addressing underlying issues.
It’s worth noting that protests over rising economic challenges took place in August and again in October, as part of a movement urging the president to reconsider these policies.
While Tinubu has recognized the challenges his reforms have introduced, he remains committed to them, urging Nigerians to remain patient as he believes these policies will bring long-term benefits.
