In a riveting interview on Arise TV, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party’s vice presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, on Monday, said Bola Tinubu has only brought disaster to Nigeria.
Datti, expressing his concern about what he calls an “unconstitutional government,” said the Supreme Court did not affirm Tinubu’s presidency; adding that the Supreme Court only upheld the unconstitutionality of the 2023 election.
Additionally, in his critique of Tinubu’s presidency, Datti emphasised that all the former’s administration has done was making appointments; adding that “there is nothing substantial about appointments”.
Pointing out substantial issues, Datti highlighted pressing concerns facing the nation, such as the deterioration of the naira and the tragic loss of 26 soldiers in Niger.
He stated, “Nigeria may come to an end if the world doesn’t come to an end. One minister went to report me to the American government. If the constitution is unconstitutional in an election, then the president remains unconstitutional.

“I know the constitution likewise, boss, Peter Obi. The petition and Supreme Court did not actually affirm his presidency; they only upheld the unconstitutionality of the election. I wasn’t shaken by certificate forgery or IREV switched off. The Labour Party won the 2023 elections; there is no doubt about that.
“Tinubu’s presidency has only brought disaster. There’s nothing substantial about an appointment. We should be speaking of Naira deterioration and 26 soldiers being killed in Niger. This man has delivered nothing, and he’s poised to deliver nothing.”
