The US President-elect Donald Trump has vowed to introduce a federal ban on gender-affirming surgeries and treatments for minors.
Trump announced the proposal during his campaign, positioning it as a part of his broader agenda to “protect children” and limit what he describes as “radical gender ideology” in schools and healthcare.
In his statement, he argued that these medical procedures should be prohibited, asserting that such treatments should not be available to minors in any of the 50 states.
