Nigerian Army Kills Three Terrorists in Kaduna

The Nigerian Army has announced that its troops have killed three terrorists and recovered several weapons and items during clearance operations in Kaduna State.

According to a statement by the spokesman of the 1st Division, Nigerian Army, Kaduna, Lt.-Col Musa Yahaya, the operations were conducted in the vicinity of Maidaro, Ngade, Ahla and Rikau villages in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area and Tantatu and Antena areas within Chikun Local Government Area of the state.

He said the troops encountered the terrorists who attempted to flee upon sighting the troops, but were neutralised by the superior firepower of the troops. He added that the troops recovered an AK47 rifle, an AK-47 magazine, seven 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, two mobile phones, and a motorcycle from the terrorists.

He further stated that the General Officer Commanding 1st Division, Nigerian Army, and Force Commander of “Operation Whirl Punch,” Maj-Gen. Valentine Okoro, commended the troops for their efforts and urged them to maintain their high level of performance until all terrorists and criminals within the Division’s area of responsibility are completely eradicated.

He also appealed to the people of Kaduna State to continue providing credible and actionable intelligence reports to the army and other security agencies.
