Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), responsible for maintaining peace in Plateau and parts of Bauchi and Kaduna States, have eliminated four suspected bandits and captured 17 others involved in various criminal activities within their operational regions.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by the Media Officer of Operation Safe Haven, Captain James Oya, the arrested suspects were taken into custody on charges related to kidnapping, murder, violent assaults on local communities, and the illegal trade of narcotics, among other offenses.
These were made possible through a specialized operation conducted by OPSH troops during the period spanning from October 29 to November 5.
“We rescued four kidnapped victims, prevented six attempts to attack vulnerable communities and responded to 13 distress calls within the period under review,” he said.

Oya said it’s commander, Maj.-Gen. Abdusalam Abubakar, expressed gratitude to the residents of Plateau, Bauchi, and Kaduna states for their support of the military and various security agencies in their efforts to enhance security in their operational areas.
