In a distressing incident on Tuesday, a group of armed men attempted to kidnap Bruna Biancardi, the partner of Brazilian football star Neymar, and their newborn daughter Maive.
The incident unfolded in Cotia, in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
According to reports from the R7 newspaper, the assailants invaded the home of Bruna Biancardi while her parents were present.
Although the criminals tied up her parents, fortunately, no one was physically harmed during the ordeal, as confirmed by the sports website Marca.
The Municipal Civil Guard revealed that one of the suspects has already been apprehended.
This individual was identified as a resident of the same condominium where the Biancardi family resided and is believed to have facilitated the entry of the other criminals.
Two of the suspects were armed and actively sought out Bruna and Maive, Neymar’s daughter.

However, neither Bruna nor Maive were present at the residence at the time of the intrusion.
Prompt action by concerned neighbors played a pivotal role in thwarting the criminal plan. Observing suspicious activity at the house, they promptly alerted the authorities. Law enforcement agents promptly surrounded the property and managed to apprehend one of the suspects, who was confirmed to be a resident of the condominium.
The remaining criminals managed to escape with a haul of luxury handbags, watches, and jewelry before the police could apprehend them.
As of now, Neymar has not issued a statement regarding this alarming incident. The investigation into this case is ongoing, and the local authorities are diligently working to bring the remaining suspects to justice.
