A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has dismissed suggestions that chief Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, is fit to govern Lagos State.
Reacting to reports urging Seyi to run for governor in 2027, Igbokwe criticized the calls, describing them as a needless distraction and an attempt to undermine the president’s administration.
In a Facebook post, the APC stalwart stated that Lagos requires experienced leadership and is not a place for inexperienced individuals to govern.
He further noted that to govern a state like Lagos is not a job for “boys.”
“Who are these faceless people pushing Seyi Tinubu for Lagos Governor? This is a needless distraction.
“To pull PBAT down is their target. Please allow PBAT to do his very engaging and tasking job. Ruling Lagos is not the job of boys? ” he added.
Igbokwe’s remarks have sparked reactions amid growing speculations surrounding Seyi Tinubu’s potential political ambitions.
